BMI Calculator

Body Mass Index is a quick screening ratio of weight to height. It doesn't see muscle or body composition — treat it as a starting point, not a verdict.

What is a healthy BMI?

For most adults the typical range is 18.5–24.9. BMI is a population-level screening tool: athletes with high muscle mass often score above it while being perfectly healthy.

Is BMI accurate for everyone?

No. It ignores muscle, bone density, age and body-fat distribution. Waist measurement, body-fat percentage and how you feel and perform matter at least as much.
